Oh yes, Christmas has past. It was such a wonderful time. Advent was absolutely the best. And by the best, I mean I loved it. But I didn't end up doing all of my Advent activities. I tried. I did. But life....
Christmas was quiet but good. It was just our little family. My parents and mother in law came over Christmas day which was really nice. We planned to get together with my brother and his sweet family on New Years. But: THE FLU.
Oh yes, I got hit with the flu. It was BAD. 8 days in bed. 8 days with very little movement. I probably should have gotten Tamiflu, but there was no moving me. Not an inch. It was the worst that I have been hit in years. Did I get the flu shot? No. I thought I had time. I was wrong. Oh so wrong.
So no New Years family movie night with fondue. We always do fondue. Not this year.
On a bright side, I did get to catch up on all my Hallmark Christmas movies. I rode that horse until the last minute. Can I just say that I totally adore Hallmark Christmas movies? I don't care if they seem hokie or that they seem all the same. I LOVE THEM.
Hallmark Christmas movies are my jam.
So I'm better now and mostly caught up on life.
Yes, I have resolutions. I do. But I'm not going to talk about that now. I have them. So far, not so good . Perimenopause is evil. That's all I'm going to say about that.
